Equus teeth from Kansas River with calcareous cement matrix.

Summary[edit]

Description
English: Modern horse fossils (Equus) found in Kansas River gravel. The presence of calcareous cement matrix in crevases suggests a conjecture that these teeth eroded from the Abilene conglomerate or similar Pleistocene mortar bed.
