Description
Español: Escudo del municipio de Caloto (Cauca).

"El escudo que aquí se observa, se encuentra en el Salón del Concejo de Caloto y fue pintado por Ana Maria. Al igual que la bandera, fue diseñado por Ana Maria Bejarano, y es completamente alusivo a la historia de nuestro pueblo. El escudo esta realizado en planchuela Española con bordado de oro, emblema de la riqueza del suelo, por cimera lleva el nombre de la fundación en letras de oro, sobre franja azul. Dividido en tres cuarteles con sus respectivos blasones, el cuartel diestro, se representa las armas de la conquista y la colonia, la flecha aborigen pintada en oro es dejada atrás por la espada Española, sobre un campo gules (rojo), en el cuartel siniestro y sobre campo púrpura, se encuentra la campana milagrosa pintada en bronce dorado, famosa durante el periodo de la colonia y en el cuartel inferior, se tiene el sitio de la última fundación, con el cerro de Munchique al fondo, sobre campo azur. A la diestra de este cuartel aparece un roble, que significa la exuberante vegetación del lugar."
