Le Casino. La création du Casino s'inscrit dans un programme d'aménageant de la Société des Eaux d'Evian: établissement thermal, hôtel luxueux, golf, etc. En 1877, le baron Louis Ennemont de Blonay, maire de la ville, lègue à la communeson château familial aux fins d'établir une "maison de jeux" digne de ce nom. C'est l'architecte Jean-Albert Hébrard , également architecte de l'Hôtel Royal, qui donnera au casino, reconstruit en 1911, l'aspect "byzantin" que l'on voit aujourd'hui. The Casino. The creation of the Casino is part of a program of landscaping of the Water Company of Evian : spa, luxury hotel, golf, etc.. In 1877, Baron Louis Ennemont Blonay, Mayor, bequeathed to the town his family's castle in order to establish a "home game" worthy of the name. The architect Jean-Albert Hébrard, also an architect of the Hotel Royal, which will give the casino, rebuilt in 1911, the "Byzantine" appearance that we see today. |
