Description
English: Soviet award. Breast badges for "Excellent KGB Border Guard" 1st class. Instituted on 8 April 1969 by KGB of the USSR Order 53. Awarded to soldiers, sailors, sergeants and petty officers of Border Troops, or to other soldiers urgently enlisted in assisting the Border Service, for exemplary performance of duties in the protection of the state border of the USSR, skillful actions to apprehend violators of the border, for displaying courage, perseverance, endurance, excellent performance in combat and political training, and for military discipline.
Français : Décoration Soviétique. Décoration pour "Excellent Garde Frontalier du KGB" de 1ère classe. Instaurée le 8 avril 1969 par l'Ordre du KGB numéro 53. Décernée aux soldats, marins, sergents et premiers maîtres des troupes frontalières, et à tout autre soldat rattaché aux Troupes Frontalières en temps de crise, pour exécution exemplaire des devoirs reliés à la protection de la frontière de l'URSS, pour des actions habiles visant à l'arrestation de violateurs de la frontière, pour courage, persévérance, endurance, performances excellentes en entraînement politique et de combat, et pour discipline militaire.
