Description
Català: Extrem superior d'un signum romà, ofrena votiva, s. I - III dC Museu Històric del Palatinat (Speyer). Exposició El Tresor dels Bàrbars del Museu Arqueològic d'Alacant. Aquests objectes testifiquen el saqueig de temples. Digna d'atenció és l'extremitat superior d'un signum, un tipus d'ensenya dels exèrcits de l'Antiga Roma destinat a col·locar-se en la part superior d'un asta, i que porta una inscripció gravada dedicada a un Déu. El bol de plata porta també una inscripció votiva en la base. D'un altre bol, de gran factura artística, només se'n conserva la meitat. Una inscripció incrustada en or relata que una persona anomenada Maria Corsilia va dedicar aquesta peça després d'un somni que va tindre.
