| Description | A U.S. Navy Vought F-8H Crusader (BuNo 147063) of Fighter Squadron VF-111 "Sundwoners" is refueled ba y Douglas KA-3B Skywarrior (BuNo 142247) from Heavy Attack Squadron VAH-10 Det.38 "Vikings". Both squadrons were assigned to Carrier Air Wing 8 (CVW-8) aboard the aircraft carrier USS Shangri-La (CVS-38) for a deployment to Vietnam from 5 March to 17 December 1970. VAH-10 Det.10 was redesignated Tactical Electonic Warfare Squadron VAQ-129 on 1 September 1970. |
