Description
English: Lieutenant F. W. Holmes photograph of the Indian rope trick in May, 1917. Magicians have stated that the 'rope' was actually a bamboo pole. Holmes later accepted this explanation (Elliot, 1934). Robert Henry Elliott. (1934). The Myth of the Mystical East. Wm. Blackwood & Sons. pp. 95-96.
