Description
Nederlands: De eerste Ezelpoort werd omstreeks 1300 aan de derde omwalling opgetrokken en reeds in 1369 verbouwd. Verdere verbouwingen gaven in 1615 de poort haar huidige uitzicht, maar enkele bijgebouwen zijn verdwenen. Een stoomtram, bestemd voor het leveren van cokes aan de gasfabriek Desclée op de Scheepsdalelaan, rijdt door de poort. Bemerk er de gevelgaslantaarn. Rechts is een stukje van de Gulden-Vlieslaan te zien.
