Summary[edit]

Description
English: A view of the driver/fireman on the footplate of 60163 Tornado as it headed tender first to Rawtenstall. I'd walked to Rawtenstall from Ramsbottom and was on the diesel service to Burrs to walk back to Ramsbottom. The diesel was a Class 33 - 33109 Captain Bill Smith RNR. One advantage of using the diesel service is that it is usually a lot emptier than the steam trains, especially so when a star is in town, and allows a free view to point, click and hope as trains pass.
