English: Fakenham West railway station (site), Norfolk Opened in 1880 as "Fakenham Town" on what became the Midland & Great Northern Joint Railway from Leicester to Great Yarmouth, the name was changed to just Fakenham in 1898 and then Fakenham West in 1948. The station closed in 1959. View north west towards Raynham Park and ultimately, Leicester. The station had 2 parallel platforms. The end of one of them still survived when this image was taken. |
