| Description |
English: Falklands War memorial Cardiff This memorial near the main war memorial in Alexandra Gardens was unveiled and consecrated on September 30th 2007. The monument, a 5 ton rock donated by the people of the Falkland Islands to Wales, travelled more than 8,000 miles from Mount Harriet on East Falkland to Cardiff with the help of veterans, volunteers and the armed forces. The names of British and Falkland Islanders who died in the conflict are inscribed on the sides of the plinth. |
