| Description |
English: Farmland Aughton. Pronounced 'Afton'. On the west side of the Lune in beautiful Lonsdale. The picture is taken from a spot between the farms of Far Highfield and Whinney Hill on the ridge. In the nearby village of Aughton is the famous Aughton Pudding event which is held annually. It invloves doing something with a very large pudding. A local girl I worked with many years ago was known as 'the Aughton Pudding' rather unkindly I thought. |
