Deutsch: Wilhelm Fassbinder (* 20. April 1858 in Köln, † 10. August 1915 in Köln): Marmor-Relief (1915) an der Grabstätte Klöser auf dem Melaten-Friedhof Köln; das Bildmotiv bezieht sich auf 4. Mose 13, dort heißt es in Vers 23: Und sie [Moses Kundschafter] kamen bis an den Bach Eschkol [Traubenbach] und schnitten dort eine Rebe ab mit einer Weintraube und trugen sie zu zweien auf einer Stange; unter dem Relief steht der Vers aus dem Johannes-Evangelium (15, 5): Ich bin der Weinstock, ihr seid die Reben; von Fassbinder stammt u. a. eine Christus-Statue auf dem Nordfriedhof Bonn sowie der Kaiserbrunnen in Dortmund-Kaiserbrunnen |
