[Das war ein Hallo als ich da ankam] die Jungs hatten alle nichts mehr zu rauchen. Bin eine Nacht vorne gewesen und dann wieder zurück gegangen. Ich sollte ja fahren aber das Theater will ich Dir erzählen. Unsere Kompanie hatt zwei neue Fahrräder bekommen. Ich melde mich beim Hauptfeldwebel ab nach rückwärts. Da will er mir eine Freude machen und sagt ich soll ein Rad nehmen. Ich sage „Jawohl“ nimm das Rad, es war haarneu, fahre ca. 50 m da macht es einen Knall und im Vorderad ist die Luft raus. Ich sehe nach ob ich auf einen Nagel oder Granatsplitter gefahren bin, nichts zu sehen. Montiere das Rad aus und wie ich den Schlauch sehe denke ich mich trifft der Schlad da war ein ca. 15 cm langer Riss drinnen der Schlauch ist geplatzt! Trag ihn nun zum Mechaniker, die haben kein Pickzeug und auch keine Rerserveschlauch! Wie ich so stehe kommt auf einmal der „Spieß“ an. Ich denke na jetzt setzt was ich melde ihn was geschehen ist da lacht er nur und sagt „Na mein lieber Hans jetzt mußt Du halt zu Fuß laufen“. Ich war sprachlos so bin dann halt „gehatscht“ [hatschen = lange angestrengt gehen (Österr.)]. Mir geht es sonst noch ausgezeichnet bin gesund und munter. Bin bei guten Apetit und der kann ich gestillt werden. Sind die großen Bilder schon eingetroffen? Du mein liebes Muttl bleib mir nur gesund dann ist alles gut. Es grüßt und küsst Dich von Herzen
