Mein liebes, liebes Muttl!
Wenn Du diesen meinen Brief in Deinen Händen hältst ist es wohl wieder einmal soweit und das schönste Fest und der schönste Abend des Jahres ist da. Die Gedanken gehen dann zurück in die vergangene Zeit und man sieht dann erst wie schnell doch die Zeit verfliegt.
Wie herrlich war doch besonders die Zeit der Vorweihnacht, dieses heimlich tun und verstecken. Weißt Du noch wie ich Dich am Gang mit der Rodel [Rodelschlitten] überraschte, oder wenn Papa und ich den Baum „putzten“? Wenn Du dann am Abend geklingelt hast und wir zu dritt vor dem Lichterglanz standen, ich weiß und fühle das alles noch als wäre es heute. Immer wieder muß ich es Dir sagen wie froh und glücklich ich zu Hause und bei Dir war. Andere Kinder hatten vieleicht mehr am Tisch aber ich weiß es heute erst richtig ich hatte schon immer viel mehr als alle anderen ich hatte Dich und Papa.
Für diese meine Kindheit will ich Dir heute besonders und tiefstens danken.
Ich habe diesmal garnichts um Dir zu schenken glaub [mir mein Muttl es ist mir dies bestimmt nicht leicht.]
