| Description |
English: Ferry House Now a branch office of NATWEST bank. The memorial plaques either side of the doorway commemorate the 'Docks and Marine' workers' lives lost in two World Wars. Interestingly the 1914-18 plaque bears the initials L&SWR (London & South Western Railway), whilst the 1939-45 plaque has only SR (Southern Railway) on it. So does history leave its footprint! |
