Figurin, Buddha GÖTHEBORG
Description
Buddhafigur, halvliggande stödd på höger armbåge hållandes ett löv i höger hand, bar överkropp, grönt kläde över benen, hårknutar ovanför öronen.Föremålet kommer från lasten från vraket av ostindiefararen Götheborg, som gjorde tre resor till Kina 1739-45. Vid hemkomsten från den sista resan 12 september 1745 förliste fartyget vid grundet Hunnebådan strax utanför Nya Elfsborgs fästning. Vid flera tillfällen har material tagits upp från vraket. Föremålet kommer från de marinarkeologiska utgrävningarna på platsen 1986-1992.
