Summary[edit]
DescriptionFinchley Borough Council Coat of Arms - geograph.org.uk - 618994.jpg |
English: Finchley Borough Council Coat of Arms. Situated over the entrance to East Finchley library, the stag and the hunting horns, along with the double rose in the centre of the shield, recall the areas popularity as a hunting ground for Tudor monarchs. The mitre refers to the ownership of land in the area by the Bishops of London. The crest, of course, is a finch - though which particular species is unknown.
