Description
English: The Fire Bell is a Modesto City Historic Landmark, and is recognized by the city's Landmark Preservation Commission. The Fire Bell was originally installed at the 10th Street Fire Station in Modesto, California in 1894. In 1928 it was installed on a pedestal and was dedicated to commemorate the city's volunteer firefighters. The Fire Bell has been moved several times, and is currently displayed in front of Fire Station 2 on Chicago Avenue.
