English: "The William H. Fish Gate at the northwest corner of Goodale Park was named for the man who donated the pagoda gate in 1899. Along with his father, Fish owned and operated the Fish Stone Company and the Fish Press Brick Company. He lived in the house diagonally opposite the gate. The gate was designed by Isabel Terrell. The carved faces appearing around the gate represent the seven ages of man from Shakespeare’s play, “As You Like It,” Act 2, Scene 7. The eighth carving is the face of Lincoln Goodale."
