Summary[edit]

Description
English: Fishing boats at Hastings, 1967 Hastings has no harbour so its fishing vessels are launched from the beach using ropes, winches and bulldozer. The boats, less than 10 metres in length, have a modified design to allow them to be run up onto the shingle beach on their return.

The RX boat registration letters indicate that the boats are registered with the port of Rye. According to the European Fleet Register, RX59 had the name 'Our Lady', was built in Whitstable in 1957 and moved to be registered with Cardiff. RX73 was constructed in 1958 in Newhaven, named the 'Young Flying Fish' and is now retired. RX77 named 'Andina' was constructed in Newhaven in 1957 and is retired.
