Description
English: Large bat shelter near Eppelborn, Saarland, Germany
Deutsch: Fledermausquartier neben der Illtalbrücke (Autobahnbrücke der A1) in Eppelborn, Saarland. Aufgrund des geplanten Abrisses der Illtalbrücke musste dieser Unterschlupf für eine Fledermaus-Kolonie gebaut werden, die bisher unter der Illtalbrücke lebten. Die Kosten belaufen sich (inkl. der Umsiedlung) auf insgesamt € 443.000 (Quelle: Pressemitteilung Bund der Steuerzahler Saarland e.V. vom 06.10.2016). Das neue Quartier wurde jedoch noch nicht angenommen, die Fledermäuse sind zu ihrem alten Standort unter die Klingenthalbrücke zurückgekehrt.
