Description

A U.S. military convoy enters the village of Shinkay, Dec. 21. With an unobstructed 360-degree view of the surrounding area, MRAP gunners are the eyes and ears of the truck, providing over-watch for the personnel inside the heavily armored vehicles and information to the truck commander. This photo was taken by an Air Force photojournalist assigned to Provincial Reconstruction Team Zabul to show some of the views from the gunner's seat atop an MRAP in Afghanistan. Photo by Staff Sgt.
