Summary[edit]

Description

U.S. Army soldiers from the 173rd Airborne Brigade Combat Team and an Afghan national army soldier patrol by foot while accompanied by two donkeys on their way to conduct a key leader engagement in the village of MangoKheyl, Kherwar District, Logar province, Afghanistan, April 10. The soldiers are training the donkeys in order to get them to the point where they can help carry gear and be more of an asset than a liability on long dismounted movements.
