September 22, 2008 An IDF soldier was severely wounded resulting in an injury to his eye, after a Palestinian woman sprayed toxic acid on him in the humanitarian lane of Hawarra crossing, south of Nablus. The soldier received initial medical treatment on the scene, and was later taken to hospital for further treatment. The Palestinian woman was arrested by security forces and taken for questioning by the Israeli Police. Pictured: The wounded soldier's vest and M-16 rifle, both damaged by acid.
