Highest Explore Position #344 ~ On June 10th 2008. Update ~ New Position #271 ~ On June 11th 2008. Samphire Hoe - Dover, Kent, England - Sunday June 8th 2008. I'm off on Holiday today, so I will try and catch up on all your wonderful streams tomorrow..if I can..:O))) I hope you all have a wonderful week...:O)))) Samphire Hoe is a new piece of England created from 4.9 million cubic metres of chalk marl dug to create the Channel Tunnel. It is owned by Eurotunnel and managed in partnership with the White Cliffs Countryside Project. The 30-hectare site is situated at the foot of the White Cliffs of Dover. A stunning location with something for everybody: wildflowers, birds, peace and quiet, picnics and walks. With over a mile of sea wall there is always plenty of room for sea angling; day and season tickets are available. The Hoe is accessible for all people, providing gentle and interesting walks. The further you go from the car park the wilder the site becomes. Guided walks and events are organised regularly. Signposted from the A20 heading west from Dover. |
