After a lot of good feelings that came from the TAG contract to build a game-changing engine for McLaren, Porsche finally took the plunge on their own nickel, built a contemporary V12 without turbo-supercharging.... and couldn't hit the needed target weight. That must have made for some red faces... Motorsports are hard and unforgiving, and by the time you realize you've taken a wrong turn, you may just have to hang on until you reach the scene of the crash. I'm glad it wasn't me, but there's little danger of my being asked, you know? DSC_0179 |
