Description A member of Burkinabe Special Program for Embassy Augmentation Response (SPEAR) unit takes a role player into custody during a simulated terrorist attack in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso on February 27, 2019, during Flintlock 2019, Africa’s largest counterterrorism training exercise. Trained and equipped by the U.S. Department of State's Antiterrorism Assistance program, members of this quick-response SPEAR team participated in Flintlock 2019 to enhance their tactical skills and interoperability with other law enforcement and military units when responding to terrorist threats.
