Summary[edit]

Description
English: Ecologists were astounded and appalled at the extent of damage done to the structure and habitat value of this SAC throughout 2016-2020. The Office of Public Works in Ireland were granted €1bn structural funding under EU climate mitigation measures. They set about recontructing hundreds of rivers across the country, implementing arterial drainage schemes using mass concrete walls. The damage to ecology has been incalculable.
