| Description |
English: Footpath from Riversdown House to Dean Farm, Kilmeston The footpath is supposed, according to the OS and HCC maps, to turn left at the vanishing point of these fences and head along the far side of the wood at left of picture. In fact, the fences constrain one to go straight ahead. A DEFRA notice says the land is being managed as a nature reserve and anyone interfering with the fences will be prosecuted. It is clear that the fences have been there for some years.
I have reported this anomaly to HCC. Update 17/7/2008: HCC inform me the line of the footpath has now been restored to its original path, albeit still between double fences. |
