The Foreman-Roberts House Museum and park is a 1/4 acre property located in downtown Carson City. The park area includes picnic tables, mature trees, and grass.

The Foreman-Roberts House Museum is listed on the Historic American Building Survey (HABS) and the National Historic Register. The structure is a fine example of Gothic Revival architecture. In 1873 it was moved to Carson City from Old Washoe City where it was originally located two blocks from the railroad track. Thurman Roberts, the last surviving child of the Roberts family, said it was moved to Carson City on the Virginia and Truckee Railroad. The home was moved to Carson City and assembled near one of two artesian wells. The front porch overlooks the State Capital as did many homes and buildings at that time.

The Carson City Historical Society holds yard sales at the Foreman-Roberts House Museum from May through October. The Museum is usually open to the public on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 1:00-3:00 p.m., but this can be verified by contacting the Carson City Historical Society for confirmation. The Museum is available by appointment for weddings and other special events.

Currently under construction is a a two-story carriage house which will contain archival information and provide a meeting room and a gift shop for the Carson City Historical Society, its members, and our community.
