English: Formalin-fixated human brain from a middle-aged male, left hemisphere, coronal section 2 mm anterior to the AC. 1: nucleus accumbens, 2: pinhead representing an electrode’s target point for nucleus accumbens deep brain stimulation, 3: caudate nucleus (head), 4: putamen, 5: internal capsule (anterior limb), 6: external capsule, 7: claustrum, 8: extreme capsule, 9: AC–PC plane, 10: corpus callosum, 11: septum pellucidum, 12: lateral ventricle (frontal horn).
