| Description |
English: Former An Óige Youth Hostel at Baltyboys, Blessington, Co Wicklow This simple hostel on the shore of the Pollaphouca Reservoir was opened after heroic efforts by a band of volunteer members in 1939. It is seen here in its closing years (August 2002), finally succumbing in 2004. Baltyboys hostel replaced an earlier one at Humphrystown, just down the road. Please contact if you have any tales to tell of old hostels like this. |
