| Description |
English: Former Cinema - Cross Stamford Street. Now used as a fashion distribution business.
Originally this was Newtown Picture Palace. Built 1912, and opened on the January 11, 1913 with "A Cruel Fate". It may have been a telling sign, as it closed on the 2nd September 1953. The last film screened was "Captain Blood, Fugitive". It had 788 seats and was designed by W. Peel Schofield of Leeds. |
