| Description |
English: Former Goods Shed, Christ's Hospital. Christ's Hospital station was opened in 1902 after the school of the same name moved to its current site. The station itself was given seven platforms, one exclusively for school specials. However, once the school became predominantly boarding the expected traffic failed to materialise. The station was hit further in the 1960s when the branches to Guildford and Shoreham were closed. The station itself was demolished and rebuilt with just two platforms only the subway connecting them hints at former grandeur. This building is the last remnant of what was once extensive sidings and is now a warehouse. |
