| Description |
English: Another HSBC (Midland) bank to bite the dust. Surprising for a big town like Otley (but similarly sized Knaresborough has already lost its branch). The notice on the door gives Guisely as the local branch. Tadcaster has also lost its branch a few years ago (the notice there gave Sherburn as the closest branch although I would have thought Wetherby closer) and Boroughbridge has also lost its branch (less surprising given its small size). On the north Leeds periphery Guiseley and Wetherby still holding onto their branches with an influx of staff from a lot of branches to close lately. This branch was situated on Crossgate, Otley, West Yorkshire. Peering inside the interior of this recently closed bank is unchanged. Taken on the afternoon of Monday the 28th of August 2017 (Summer bank). |
