Summary[edit]

Description
English: Accompanying note: "Tallahassee Associated Press correspondent Brendan Farrington interviews former Alaska Sen. Mike Gravel, the only presidential candidate to violate a Democratic Party ban on campaigning in Florida. Gravel visited the state Democratic Party convention at Walt Disney World Oct. 10, 2007. The national party banned campaigning in Florida because the state defied a Feb. 5 early starting date mandated from Washington, and held its presidential primary on Jan. 29. The Republicans also penalized the state that year by taking away half of Florida's convention delegates but did not ban candidates from campaigning. After the nominations were settled, both parties gave back Florida's full delegations."
