Description Congresso Nacional recebe iluminação da campanha Outubro Rosa e chama a atenção da sociedade para a prevenção do câncer de mama. Além da iluminação rosa no Congresso, a programação inclui oficinas, audiências públicas, lançamento de livro e exposições de fotografia e pintura. O câncer de mama é uma das principais causas de morte de mulheres entre 30 e 69 anos.
A iluminação rosa do Congresso e de edifícios públicos de Brasília marca o início da campanha. Em geral realizada no primeiro dia do mês, a cerimônia de lançamento foi adiada para não coincidir com o primeiro turno das eleições municipais, que mobilizam os deputados e senadores.
