Description
Deutsch: Standort der Frühlingslichtblume. Im Ortsteil Treffen Seespitz erreichst Du über die Julienhöhenstraße das Seniorenheim. Ab hier geht es nur mehr zu Fuß weiter.

Weithin sichtbar zieht ein bräunliches Felsband in westöstlicher Richtung mitten durch den Steilhang und etwa 50 m höher findet sich parallel verlaufend ein zweites unterbrochenes Felsband von geringerer Höhe. Zwischen der großen unteren Wand und den oberen Felspartien ist der felsig gestufte Steilhang. Dieses Gebiet ist äußerst schwierig zu begehen, die große Felswand ist der Standort des Bulbocodium. Das rund zwei Hektar große Areal wird vom österreichischen Naturschutzbund betreut und ist umzäunt. Sind die Wintermonate schneereich und frostig, so verzögert sich das Aufblühen bis in den März, bei normalem Wetter fällt die Hauptblütezeit in die Mitte des Februar. Der Botaniker Univ. Prof. Dr. Rudolf Scharfetter (1880 – 1956), hat im Felsbereich nördlich der Julienhöhe bei Niederdorf im Februar 1911 das Bulbocodium vernum L., die Frühlingslichtblume auf der Gerlitze in Kärnten gefunden.
