English: Fractured Gritstone Pavement at Gwaun y Ffa An outcrop of Lower Coal Measures (LCM) sandstone (the 'Farewell Rock'?) looks out over an expanse of moorland sat under a line of marching pylons. the ridges in the middle distance are what remains from an era of opencasting of the seams of the LCM. Coety Mountain is seen in the distant view. |
