English: Colonel Frank Symons was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada on 26th April 1869. On 9th August 1900 in Salisbury Cathedral he married Dorothy Bennett of The Close, Salisbury. Their 3 daughters were baptised in Salisbury Cathedral. Colonel Frank A. Symons, D.S.O., M.B. was killed in action on 30th April 1917 and is buried at St. Nicolas British Cemetery, France.
