Description
Deutsch: Auf dem Bilde No. 34, Heft III haben wir bereits ersehen, dass dieser Bau, nur zwei Stockwerke hoch war. Er diente im unteren Teile als Waarenlager, namentlich zu Messzeiten und Werkbetrieben. Vor allem hatten die Nürnberger Kaufherren, wenn sie die einträglichen Frankfurter Messen besuchten, hier die Ausstellung ihrer, aus dem weiten Osten hergebrachten Waaren und boten sie zum Verkaufe feil. Die grossen, hoch beladenen, mit Tüchern überspannten Güterwagen fuhren im Hofe aus und ein und schafften ein bewegliches Treiben. Nach dem Niedergange der Messen war das Gelände lange Zeit dem Geschäfte der Güterschaffner gewidmet. Auch diese Baulichkeiten sind niedergelegt und die neue Strasse wurde nach der hier durch einen Kanal geleiteten Braubach „Braubachstrasse“ benannt.
