Deutsch: Eine Spinnerin in dekorativer Tracht steht am Meer. Im linken Arm hält sie den Spinnrocken, aus dem sie mit der Hand den Faden herauszieht, den sie mit der Fallspindel in der rechten Hand verspinnt. Vor ihr sitzen drei kleine Kinder. Am Horizont erhebt sich eine Insel über dem Meer (Capri? Ischia?).
Bei dem Bild handelt es sich um eine größere Ausführung des von einem Bild in Kufsteiner Privatbesitz bekannten Motivs; jenes Bild trägt rückseitig eine „1890“ datierte Widmung. Im Werkverzeichnis wird das Motiv irreführend als „Die Anglerin“ bezeichnet:
