Español: La Catedral de la Inmaculada Concepción es el mayor Templo Neogótico de América del Sur, que se comenzó a edificar en 1884 y se inauguró en 1932, en coincidencia con el cincuentenario de la Ciudad, aunque no fue sino hasta 1999 en que se finalizaron las obras con la terminación de sus dos torres. La catedral de La Plata está inspirada en las catedrales góticas de Amiens (Francia) y de Colonia (Alemania). En el plano original diseñado por Pedro Benoit y Ernest Mayer se previó la construcción de tres torres, que habían quedado inconclusas

Argentina has no "freedom of panorama" provision in its copyright law. At least some think there is de facto freedom of panorama in Argentina regarding buildings:
