| Description |
English: Friable Rock One of the challenges in Cairdshill Quarry is coping with sections of the rock which are extremely friable and simply crumble into flakes and dust which clogs the machinery. The shattered fragment in the middle is an example of this, lying amongst pieces of the solid sandstone. |
