Description

In front of the wonderful agricultural warehouse, bearing the words ...genossenschaft..(co-operative) was an odd kind of shoestring museum of the once extensive <a href="http://www.parkeisenbahn.de/start/v_geschichte/mpsb/mpsb.htm" rel="nofollow">narrow gauge network</a> around Friedland. A standard gauge branch was still in operation here at the time.Some remains of the former narrow gauge railway can be seen <a href="http://www.stillgelegt.de/mpsb01/mpsb01-5.htm" rel="nofollow">here</a>. The locomotive is no. 99 3352 of the Deutsche Reichsbahn. A museum of the <a href="http://www.mpsb.de/" rel="nofollow">Mecklenburg-Pommersche Schmalspurbahn</a> is at Schwichtenberg
