Summary[edit]
DescriptionFront elevation of Muratie Homestead Stellenbosch. 1.jpg |
English: The Farm Muratie, known as De Driesprong until 1909, has its origins in a portion of land granted to Laurens Camphor by Governor Van der Stel in 1685 . It has a rich association with Martin Melck who acquired the farm in 1763 and who's descendants still have interest in the running of the farm. The existing homestead dates to around 1830 and is largely intact. |
