English: Portrait of Françoise d'Aubigné, Marquise de Maintenon (1635-1719), formerly thought to be a Presumed portrait of Hortense Mancini (1646-1699)
Français : "Portrait de Françoise d'Aubigné (Niort, 1635 - Saint-Cyr-l'Ecole, 1719). Sa robe avec dentelle, son visage rond au petit double menton, la forme de son nez, la coiffure avec les perles, les boucles d'oreilles en forme de poire, la broche sur l'épaule : tous ces éléments se retrouvent dans les différents portraits de la jeune Françoise et dans toutes les gravures par Pierre François Giffart, Jean Adrien Nargeot, Nicolas de Larmessin et Paul Mercury. Si l'on centre le visage on retrouve la forme du nez avec ce petit relevé presqu'en trompette qu'on voit dans les portraits de Giffard ou Petitot. Il est aussi les cheveux noirs en bandeau qui dessinent comme un triangle sur le front qui se distinguent de la chevelure de Louise de Keroual, plus frisée et toujours avec la natte revenant en avant.(...) elle est plus souriante que sur les autres portraits, peut-être aussi plus grasse, mais en 1674, elle est dans l'âge du "bonheur soudain" quand le roi vient de la gratifier pour son oeuvre de gouvernante de ses enfants et de jeter les yeux sur elle.
