| Description |
English: Gate Widening This field entrance is being prepared for a new gateway more suited to modern farm vehicles. In the process a very substantial granite gatepost has been removed. In the middle of the post is an old Ordnance Survey cut benchmark, which takes the form of a horizontal line with an arrow pointing up to it. It is just visible on this photograph. This particular benchmark marks a height of 170.40 metres - or at least it used to! |
