| Notes | The wardrobe with richly decorated top with a large cartouche with Venus and Cupid, two drawers at the bottom, all traditionally finished with a polish. A local variant of such a piece of furniture, known in the port cities of northern Germany, like Hamburg and Lübeck and inspired by the furniture industry of the Netherlands, was very popular across the Polish-Lithuanian Commonweath in the 18th century. It is traditionally known as vestibule wardrobe (szafa sieniowa) or Gdańsk wardrobe (szafa gdańska). | |||||||||||||||||||||||
